Renco has been named a Sustainability Leader
For the last four years, Il Sole 24 Ore has been diligently compiling a list of the most sustainable companies, across parameters of environmental and social sustainability, based on a comprehensive review of sustainability reports and financial statements. Out of the 500 companies reviewed, 240 were selected based on an evaluation of 45 indications related to three ESG dimensions: environmental, social and governance. This year Renco was selected to gain the rankings, recording outstanding performance in the categories of Energy, Education and Transparency.
This honour reflects many years of hard work by Renco in transitioning its activities across various dimensions of sustainability. A critical criterion for this recognition was the review of our sustainability report, which has been a fundamental tool that we have adopted over the past couple of years, allowing us to communicate the value of our activities clearly and comprehensively to our stakeholders and the world.
As we look to the future, we will continue to work across various functions to strengthen our sustainability strategy, as we see this as the most fundamental component of our business.
' Today, increasingly, European directives and regulations, are pushing companies forward to adopt sustainability strategies that will help countries like ours, reach a new frontier of business, that will not only positively impact the environment but also communities around the world. We see it as our priority to lead to transition forward with the sectors in which we operate. For Renco this is not discretionary; it's a necessity. Being named a Sustainability Leader by Il Sole 24 Ore is something that we hold with great pride '
